Throughout history, trivia has always been more than a game.
In ancient Greece, scholars tested each other’s wit in symposiums. In 12th-century Baghdad, thinkers debated questions in bustling libraries. Even in medieval Europe, monarchs used riddles and logic games to assess the sharpness of their advisors.
Today, a new chapter in that centuries-old tradition is being written, one that blends human curiosity with cutting-edge Web3 technology.
We’re proud to announce the launch of the MOT Token on GeckoTerminal, the official utility token of the Masters of Trivia platform. Built on the Solana blockchain and backed by a thriving global community of over 200,000 players, MOT is the first step in transforming trivia into an economic, educational, and social engine for the 21st century.

On November 23, 1859, Henry McCarty, better known to the world as Billy the Kid, was born, most likely in New York City, though records are murky. By the time he was in his teens, he was already immersed in a life of crime and frontier violence.
Known for his role in the Lincoln County War in New Mexico and his legendary escape from jail—killing two deputies in the process—Billy the Kid became a symbol of lawlessness, rebellion, and youth gone rogue.
He was shot and killed at age 21 by Sheriff Pat Garrett in 1881—cementing his place as one of the most enduring outlaws in American history.
📌 Why This Matters
Billy the Kid isn’t just an outlaw: he’s a folk legend, a figure who has transcended history to become a symbol of the American West.
His life—full of gunfights, jailbreaks, and youthful defiance—reflects a mythologized era of American frontier justice, where lawmen and criminals often blurred together, and the line between hero and villain was razor-thin.
He’s been the subject of over 50 films, dozens of books, and countless reinterpretations—each one reflecting the culture of its time.
🎯 How Much do you Know about Billy the Kid?
Despite his reputation, Billy the Kid is credited with killing only 8 people, a relatively low number compared to many figures of the Wild West. His fame comes not from body count, but from his legendary status as the charming, quick-drawing outlaw who was always one step ahead of the law.
He reportedly spoke fluent Spanish, was well-liked by locals, and had a magnetic personality that captured the public's imagination—both then and now.
Some conspiracy theories suggest he wasn't even killed in 1881 and lived under a different name. These tales have only fueled his legend further.
